 On July 25th, the Orthodox Church celebrates the Feast of the Icon of the Mother of God of the Three Hands. The icon of the Theotokos is connected with Saint John of Damascus who lived in the 8th century. Being a defender of Orthodoxy, the Emperor ordered for St. Johns hand to be cut off. Having taken the cuf off hand and praying before the Theotokos, his hand was restored.
The Wonderworking Icon of the Theotokos is on Mount Athos in the Serbian Monastery Hilandar.

 On July 21st, the Orthodox Church celebrates the Feast of Kazan - Sitka Icon of the Mother of God. Kazan - Sitka Icon of the Mother of God was brought to Alaska by Saint Innocent Enlightener of Alaska from St. Petersburg.

  On July 18th, the Orthodox Church remembers Venerable Sergius Hiegumen of Radonez and New Martyr Elizabeth with nun Barbara.
Saint Sergius lived in the 14th century Russia. Founder of Holy Trinity - Saint Sergius Lavra in Sergiev Posad. New Martyr Elizabeth, German by, married uncle of Tsar Nichalas, martyred for Orthodox Faith in Russia in 1918.
